Be strong then and enter into your own body. There you have a solid place for your feet. – KABIR
Welcome! Congratulations on seeking a more integrated approach to your body and movement practices! I am excited to meet you and look forward to sharing my experience to create a safe space for you to explore and (re)connect with the joy of full, graceful and strong movement in your body! Please scroll down to read a little more about me.
I bring over 15 years of dance and fitness experience to my teaching and personal and group training practice. At the core of all my work is inspiring my clients in safely and joyfully experiencing new movement and strength in their bodies. I have a steadfast belief in safe, anatomically and kinesthetically sound movement and have a track record to support it.
Aside from receiving a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics and 8 years working in neuropharmacology research, I received a Master in Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Arizona (one of the top dance programs in the US). I have a successful performance and choreographic practice and have presented work in NYC, Arizona, Oregon, Switzerland and Taiwan. I firmly believe that ALL bodies can and should have access to creative, fun and safe movement and have devoted my career to establishing and fostering new opportunities for dance and fitness for all. I designed successful adult ballet and ballet fitness programs in Tucson, Arizona and am committed to establishing access to ballet and dance fitness classes for communities in NYC and beyond. I also work with NYC based non-profit company Dances for a Variable Population, which brings creative fitness and movement to older adult populations across NYC and am working with the artistic director to expand the program nationally.
