NEW YORK SKETCHES

New York Sketches is a 60-minute guided tour of New York City through the eyes and ears of choreographer, Hilary Brown and composer, Lamy Istrefi Jr.. Joined by dance artist, Magda Kaczmarska, vocalist, Rie Yamaguchi-Borden and Istrefi's Musical Minds Orchestra, they will take the audience across a map of the 5 boroughs: Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island, to evoke the time, space and sound of a city like no other. A meditation on eclecticism, the performance will navigate the full range and intersection of the movements and instruments onstage to share stories of the past, personal and spiritual.
